How we handle information when you plan your wedding with Our I Do.

Effective 14 October 2026 · Last updated 23 October 2026

Who to contact

Our I Do is the name under which this wedding-planning service operates. For questions about this notice or requests about your information, contact [email protected]. We are based in the United Kingdom.

Information we handle

When you sign in with Google, we receive the account information needed to identify you, such as your name, email address and account identifier. We store the wedding details you add: budgets, dates, tasks, guests, suppliers, RSVPs, meals, notes and any files or photos you upload. A linked partner can see and edit the shared plan.

Your plan may include information about guests or suppliers who do not have an Our I Do account. Please add only information you need and are entitled to share. Meal choices and notes can reveal health or religious information; avoid entering unnecessary sensitive details.

We also handle support emails, product feedback, purchase and access records when applicable, and technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. The planner keeps account-scoped copies on your device so it can save work and support offline use.

Why we use it

We use account and planner information to provide the service you request, keep a shared plan available across devices and manage access. We use support and feedback information to answer enquiries and improve the service. We use technical records to keep the service secure and diagnose faults. Purchase records are used to provide paid access and meet applicable record-keeping duties.

Depending on the information and purpose, our grounds under UK data-protection law include performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and legal obligations. Optional cookies are controlled by your cookie choice; they are off unless you allow them. We do not currently use the planner data you enter for targeted advertising.

Who can receive information

Your linked partner can access the shared plan. Providers that help run Our I Do include Google for sign-in, Supabase for accounts and planner data, Cloudflare for website delivery and related services, Zoho for support email, GetTerms for cookie choices, and GitHub for encrypted operational backups. If you make a purchase, Paddle handles checkout and payment information; we receive the records needed to manage access. These providers have their own privacy information where they deal with you directly.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Please contact us if you need details about a particular transfer or provider.

Optional website analytics

With your analytics consent, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure visits and performance, and Microsoft Clarity to understand use of our public homepage through interaction data, heatmaps and session replays. This can include device and browser information, referral and campaign information, and clicks and scrolling. Clarity is not loaded in your private wedding planner, and we do not send your planner records to either tool.

With the same analytics consent, Google Analytics 4 measures public homepage visits, planning and pricing clicks, and checkout starts and completed purchases. In the private planner it loads only for checkout events; we send a fixed checkout page address, currency, amounts and a transaction reference, never your account identifiers, email, wedding records or authentication links. Automatic page and form measurement and advertising features are disabled. Google Analytics uses _ga cookies for up to one year. See Google’s privacy policy.

These optional tools load only after you allow analytics. You can withdraw consent through Cookie preferences on the homepage; the page reloads when you first allow analytics or withdraw consent to apply your choice. Clarity may use cookies such as _clck and _clsk to link visits and sessions. We send denied advertising consent to Clarity. See Microsoft’s privacy statement and Cloudflare’s privacy policy for their processing information.

Storage and deletion

Account and planner information stays available while the account and plan are active. You can edit entries, export your plan or request account deletion. Removing information from the live service does not immediately remove older encrypted recovery copies or copies on other devices. Support, payment and security records may be kept longer where needed to answer requests, resolve disputes or meet legal duties.

Signing out does not necessarily clear every saved copy on your device. Clearing site data can remove work that has not yet synced. Our Cookie Policy explains cookies and similar storage; you can change your choice through cookie preferences on the homepage at any time.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information, and object to certain uses. Email [email protected] and we will review your request. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes

We may update this notice as the service changes. The date above shows when this version took effect. We will draw attention to material changes when required.
